Academic Remediation with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) at Magnificent Minds

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles provide a highly effective way to remediate gaps in foundational academic skills. Through structure academic intervention, delivered through focused ABA therapy, students receive explicit and systematic instructions that is individualized, informed by data, and guided by goals that are: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound.

We believe in tailor-made programming delivered in a way that is rooted in science, grounded in evidence-based practice and delivered with compassion and respect.

We offer 1:1 and small group ABA services in a classroom (school-based) setting.

We meet the funding requirements for Core Clinical Services, Childhood Budget, and DFO/Legacy Funding through 2 primary program options:

Focused-ABA for Academic Remediation

Focused-ABA is a concentrated approach to skill building, where specific behaviours or skill sets are targeted in isolation. Rather than having a broad developmental approach, like traditional ABA Therapy with a comprehensive approach, Focused-ABA isolates particular skill deficits, or areas of need, and provides localized treatment. Focused-ABA can vary in intensity; our academic remediation typically occurs 1-3 times per week for 1-3 hours at a time (that's a range of 1 hour per week to up to 9 hours per week). The intensity of programming is individualized based on need.
